My cousin, and favorite clone, WØZZY has some weird aversion to
drilling holes in his car. For this reason the following project
replaces the stock FM broadcast antenna with a 1/4 wave vertical. The
mount would also accept any other antenna that uses a 3/8x24
connection (within reason).
The following is not meant to be a how-to but rather a description of
yet another half-asses nerd night idea. First, take out the stock
antenna without breaking anything. Then improvise a way to fit it all back into the hole with a 3/8x24 mount instead of the stock antenna. Every car is different.
